  • Develop agency as translators and writers;

  • Contribute to the professional literacies of English teachers;

  • Promote a reflection UPon the poem genre;

  • Consider the translation act as an evaluative and mediating practice in the teaching and learning process;

  • Develop language capacities in English.

CLERET 4 - VOICES FROM THE ABORIGINALS

In this CLERET you will:

  • Reflect about the aboriginal / indigenous cultural capital in the contemporaneity;

  • Learn and comprehend aboriginal / indigenous cultures through their legends and oral stories;

  • Produce a podcast with the English version of a Brazilian indigenous legend or oral story (from local tribes as the kaingangs, or others);

  • Reflect about issues of linguistic imperialism and how language studies can contribute to protect minorities as our indigenous peoples.

CLERET 5 - ENVIRONMENT, TOURISM AND SUSTAINABILITY

In this CLERET you will:

  • Analyse data and information on tourism from different sources;

  • Express opinion based o previous knowledge and on facts presented in texts;

  • Identify information in different online travel guides, comparing and contrasting tie information conveyed;

  • Ask for and give information about places of your interest;

  • Evaluate the use of games in the process of teaching and learning English;

  • Plan and produce an infographic.

  • understand the common steps and language actions to apply for a scholarship;

  • take a stand on the issue of gender and sexuality diversity by writing an online comment;

  • reflect upon different ways of taking action on issues of social relevance;

​

  • discuss issues related to gender and sexuality diversity and their social impact;

​

  • explore different social identities and their social relevance;

​

  • learn how to have a healthy dialogue.

NEOLIBERALISM AND CRITICAL PEDAGOGY

  • Build knowledge and make it known;

  • Study the genre encyclopedia entry for main ideas, learn and critically discuss proposed themes as contexts of production of encyclopedia entries;

  • Acknowledge and study virtual spheres of circulation of the genre;

  • Exercise perception and compare written and virtual samples of encyclopedia entries;

  • Analyze encyclopedia entries global text plan;

  • Learn and practice linguistic-discursive elements related to this genre;

  • Produce an encyclopedia entry and publish it through a virtual channel of information sharing (everything2.com)
